DES Employment Consultant - Bondi Junction & Maroubra

What you’ll be doing:
As a DES Employment Consultant, you will be based in our Bondi Junction & Botany offices and manage the surrounding ESA. You will provide services to a diverse spectrum of clients, assessing possible employment challenges, understanding their individual needs and assisting them in moving forward into sustainable employment or education opportunities.
  • Coach and guide clients through an individual Job Plan, targeting skills gaps and building relationships
  • Manage an active caseload of 50 clients
  • Manage regular review meetings with clients to track progress and monitor Job Plans
  • Match client skills and find mutually sustainable employment opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with business development staff to expand employment sourcing opportunities
  • Develop working partnerships with internal BDM staff, local employers, community organisations, schools and health service providers
  • Professional accreditation opportunity (Cert IV Disability Services)
  • Access to fully maintained company vehicle or hire car for work purposes

  • Full time role working Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Exposure within diverse cultural communities advantageous but not essential  
  • Successful applicant will go through a National Criminal check and Working With Children’s check
