The Client:
Based in Hampton, Vic, this friendly and focussed bookkeeping company is looking for a Bookkeeper – Part-time to join the team 2-3 days per week. This fully-compliant BAS agency has a great attitude to their staff and provides a flexible environment that supports and empowers their team.
  
The Opportunity:
This role is ideal for a client focussed and enthusiastic Bookkeeper looking for a role that provides work/life balance. You are a professional with an understanding of the importance of good client service. You enjoy taking on the responsibilities of looking after your clients and are solution focussed. This role reports directly to the Owner and is responsible for looking after the clients’ reporting including BAS, payroll, reporting etc.  
  
The Duties include:
  • Working with all clients across a variety of industries and sizes
  • Liaising with the external accountant
  • Being the first point of contact
  • BAS, GST, Reports, PAYGW etc - Monthly, quarterly etc
  • Payroll – processing pay-runs and superannuation
  • Bank & credit card Reconciliations
  • All account reconciliations including Month-end journals, Journal entries & reconciliations for inter-company transactions
  • Reconciliation of intercompany loan accounts, creditors and debtors, as required.
  • Process all accounts payables, receivables
  • Management of client reports
  • Managing all processes and compiling information as required by clients
  • Proactive attendance to client needs etc emails, customer requirements & queries
  • Updating client files using Xero, QBO or MYOB in preparation of monthly reporting
  • Other bookkeeping & admin tasks as required
The Candidate:
You have current bookkeeping and GST knowledge and you take pride in your abilities. You work to a high standard and you like to get things right. Your clients rely on your ability to ‘look after them’ and get things done on time.
Able to work independently, you are just as comfortable working as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills - not only in person but over email
