This role will form part of the The Information Communication & Technology Service (ICTS) group who are responsible for four functional areas: ICT Strategy and programme management of new initiatives; IT Service Delivery; Data & Spatial Application Service & Telecommunication Service. The ICT team ensures that the business has secure, robust and available Information Technology and Information Management Infrastructure, Systems and Services.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assisting with ICTS Infrastructure.
  • Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
  • Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures. 
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
  • Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
  • Ensure that the systems are available, stable, reliable and perform to optimum levels

We are looking for someone with:
  • A relevant tertiary-level qualification or equivalent work experience in Infrastructure support. 
  • Strong demonstrable knowledge and experience in IT Infrastructure.
  • Strong technical experience in managing and supporting relevant systems. 
  • An excellent understanding of the operational requirements of a complex, multi-vendor, multifaceted production environment.
  • Expert knowledge of the relevant key technologies including Cisco Networks and Juniper Firewall.
  • Strong appreciation of formal IT disciplines, methodologies and techniques including change management and service level management.
  • A willingness to develop new skills and technical expertise.
