With over 35 years’ experience servicing the Construction Industry our client provides Labour Hire, Permanent Recruitment and Training for their clients  - leading Civil Construction companies with projects Australia wide.  They have enviable clients, including John Holland, CPB and Lend Lease to name a few.  Due to further expansion in providing and managing large construction workforces, they currently need an experienced Temp Desk professional. 
The Role
  • Reports to a Senior Recruiter, working in a small, tight, collaborative team environment;
  • Sources and supplies fluid workforce from our client's existing database of some 6,000+ candidates, according to their clients’ changing needs;
  • Plans ahead, anticipating requirements, managing and nurturing candidates for future demand;
  • Keeps track of success of outstanding tenders to most effectively provide appropriate workforces at the right time;
  • Thoroughly screens candidates, following strict guidelines to ensure suitability, capacity to work and work history;
  • Ensures candidates complete an exhaustive Induction/Onboarding stage, including physical, medical, aptitude, and personality checks;
  • Uses Fastrack as a candidate and client management system;
  • Writes ads and recruits new external candidates
To be successful you will:-
  • Have 2 years’ experience running a busy Temp Desk preferably in construction;
  • Be driven, with a strong sense of ownership;
  • Be intuitive and confident to delve deeper if something doesn’t seem right;
  • Have strong organisation skills and attention to detail;
  • Thrive in being part of a tight-knit team and be flexible to assist others;
  • Have excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle priorities and multi-task;
  • Be resilient, in particular when candidates disagree with your decisions;
  • Grow strong relationships with candidates.
