The Role: 
We have a great opportunity for an Experienced Mechanical Team Leader to join our Maintenance team based at our Warwick Farm site, servicing and maintaining the printing and finishing equipment. This role will involve various shifts, working predominantly on day shift depending on operational requirements.

Skills & Experience:
To succeed in this role you will have relevant trade qualifications with a minimum of 8 years of industrial experience. Preference will be given to applicants with print industry experience.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Work to ensure the maintenance of equipment in reliable/serviceable condition, supporting Pressroom and Bindery equipment to meet KPI’s
  • Adopting a strong leadership role in the team, role-modelling safe working practices that support Ovato’s values
  • Support the training, skills development and knowledge transfer across the team; including the development and monitoring of Apprentices
  • Co-ordinate contractors & ensure they are properly inducted and insured (prior to work)
  • Communicate effectively with fellow staff, Supervision and Management
  • Coordinate shift coverage and resources to minimise interruptions, scheduling preventative maintenance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives; facilitating and developing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Work to deliver improved efficiencies and cost savings where possible, including successful control of spare parts
  • Assist with capital projects
  • Propose upgrades and enhancements to equipment
  • Cover shifts when required
