We are searching for a Senior Manager ESG Real Estate to work in-house for a real estate investment management group. The group have a large and growing presence across Asia and have significant assets under management that the ESG Manager will work on.
  
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the advancement and monitoring of the groups Sustainable Building Standards across Asia; with a focus on ESG (environmental, social and governance).
  • Helps implement sustainable governance and policy according to group, investor, tenant and government policies
  • Works across the groups AUM in Asia working with multiple senior stakeholders in multiple countries
  • Drive and implement the development of ESG strategies, such, carbon management, energy saving initiatives and health & wellbeing
    • o Takes initiative, creates and presents ESG strategy to senior leadership team, proactively identifying areas of improvement and providing a comprehensive plan of action
    • o Ensure each presented ESG change and initiative has an economic imperative for the asset improvement
  • Delivers monthly and quarterly reporting on systems including GRESB and other suitable programs.
  
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIRNCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, architecture, real estate, or similar
  • A proven record of implementing ESG and Sustainable building changes in large scale buildings
  • An understanding of real estate asset management, Investor relations, tenant management, and building lifecycles
  • Ability to take the initiative, constantly improve learning, identify problems and areas of improvement, and proactive present strategies and changes to senior leadership.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest sustainable building systems, trends, tools, and prop-tech
  • Comprehensive understanding of green building gap analysis
  • Works well with internal and external teams to develop shared solutions, build trust and buy-in, and resolve conflicts as necessary
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to identify the economic impacts of each change and initiative
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
DESIREABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIRNCE:
  • Masters-level sustainability-related training, LEED, Licensed Professional Engineer, Certified Engineering Technologist, and/or Certified Energy Manager
  • Technical knowledge and Understandings of large office buildings, data centres and logistics centres
  • Spoken Mandarin is desirable but not essential.
