About the Company:

This speciality pharmaceutical company is continuing to grow in Australia, with market leading products in their field. They specialise in niche medicines, bringing treatment to patients in need. This newly created role will lead the medical strategy and function for their entry into this new therapy area with a product launch.
  
About the role:

This newly created role marks an exciting stage of growth for the business as they expand their neurology presence, with a new to market biologic. As Medical Advisor you will lead Medical strategy, Stakeholder management nationally, medical education, including advisory board management and speaker tours, promotional review, and work in close collaboration with other departments in the business, aligning strategy and delivering training.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the overall medical strategy
  • National stakeholder mapping and management
  • Ensure code compliance for all promotional material
  • Manage Advisory boards, speaker tours and assist with patient advocacy
  • Work closely with the wider medical, sales and marketing teams to assist with brand plans, training and direction.
  • Work with global to align and adapt strategy into the local market
  • Some interstate and international travel will be required
  
Skills and Experience:
  • Current experience as a Medical Advisor or Senior MSL is required, within a speciality medicines organisation
  • Experience in the neurology (pain) area is highly regarded
  • An advanced degree, such as MBBS, PHD, Pharm D or MD
  • Strong ability to work with multiple departments internally and manage external stakeholders
  • Candidates must have experience in the Australian market and full working rights to be considered
