The Retention Manager will lead, coach and drive the direct Client Management team responsible for renewal and retention across the APAC region. They will also provide guidance to Key Account Managers in their client retention and renewal activity with key customers. Creating a customer life cycle process and playbook that oversees on boarding, implementation, product usage, forecasting, up-selling, cross selling and end to end Customer Success
  
What will they achieve in the role?        
  • Develop and deliver the renewal and retention plan for the APAC region
  • Lead and guide the APAC Retention team to achieve renewal growth targets
  • Guide and support Key Account Managers with High Value client renewal and retention activity
  • Support the ongoing capability build and development of team members
Key linkages for the Retention Manager will include:
  • Head of Sales APAC
  • Territory Team Leaders
  • Regional Marketing teams
  • Global Head of Retention Marketing
  • Global Head of Sales Operations and Enablement
  • Team members
How will success be measured?
  • Meeting / exceeding renewal and retention cash billing and revenue targets
  • Develop a process and strategy to ensure higher renewal rates
  • Meeting Product specific retention rates for each geographic territory
  • Creating and supporting a team that delivers Customer Success and excellence in service and account management
  • Team engagement and feedback
  • Customer NPS scores
The ideal candidate should have:
  • Proven experience in developing successful client retention strategies at a national level that have delivered growth (Australia & NZ preferred)
  • Extensive experience in managing, leading and coaching renewal sales teams to meet and exceed targets preferably in a SaaS based business model
  • Experience in managing and measuring revenue either in a renewal or new sales business within a SaaS based business model
  • Forecasting and pipeline management skills
  • A solid understanding and direct selling experience in Edtech / E-learning ANZ markets and the ability to develop customised strategies to address the market opportunity
