Business Development Manager – Transport Industry
Over a number of years, we have been working closely with a major player in the transport industry based in Brisbane. Growth has recently demanded a move to a large, newer, more modern site, so we are talking about a company who has been, and will be in the industry for the long haul.
  
The role itself is probably more of an inbound sales/ business development role, with not much travel required in terms of going to customer sites. A large majority of the work will be working from companies that are within the existing database. The reason being that almost all the potential customers have been contacted at some stage over the time our client has been in business
  
The work
There is a reasonably new and extensively populated CRM to work with.
We really are looking for someone who can communicate specifically with people who are entrenched in the transport industry.
You will really need to be able to talk the talk – and that is what’s proven to be one of the key elements to success in this role.
An ability to engage and connect with people who are the lifeblood of the transport industry.
Not only in the major centres, but also those potential clients scattered across numerous regional locations
So you really need to more comfortable with phone work as opposed to face to face
