Operations Manger / Business Manager with strong exposure coordinating a business supplying product and services into the new home building industry.

Operations Manager with Safety Services business based in Sydney. Must have management experience supplying products and services to the Construction Industry / Environment.
This business has successfully provided safety systems and solutions within the residential & commercial building and construction industry.  This business has a strong culture and focus on Safety.  This position would ideally be suited to an energetic and proactive Manager within the supply chain to the Home Building Industry.
Products include but not limited to:
  • Platforms
  • Scaffolding
  • Guardrail
  • Fallgards
  • Fencing
We are looking for a dynamic people person with strong experience in management, leadership, construction and business development.  
You will have a strong understanding of Building Safety, People Management, Business Development, and Problem Solving.  You need to be "street smart" and intelligent.  You'll need to be across latest IT and social media capabilities.  Along with demonstrated management skill with running a business unit with 100 plus employees reporting through you.   
Reporting directly to the Executive Management, this role will see you building on and cultivating relationships with our clients and stakeholders. You will manage your team and help grow the business and profitability.  KPI's are in place to reward positive outcomes with uncapped earnings.
We are looking for someone with:
  • Good people management skills.
  • Operational Management experience.  Coordinating the Sales effort with the Delivery experience. 
  • Technical experience in the Construction Industry.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A flair for negotiation and problem-solving.
  • Ability to see and feel the "bigger picture".  
  • The ability to thrive in a goal-driven environment; working to exceed set KPI's
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Above all - a focus on Safety.  
You will possess “energy” and a natural flair for management, which is self-motivated and thrives on achievement and business success.
This is an autonomous role requiring self-management to achieve monthly/annual sales targets.
Ideally, you will have a proven background in operational management running a business supplying product and services to the construction industry.
