OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR A MACHINE OPERATOR FOR THEIR DAIRY BASED MANUFACTURING FACILITY.

Our client is one of Australia's best known specialty food manufacturers and is a major supplier to supermarkets, foodservices and retailers.   At present, they have an opportunity for a self-driven and enthusiastic individual to work as a PRODUCTION LINE OPERATOR in a manufacturing environment.  With an outstanding reputation for excellent product quality, innovation and service through investment in research and development, manufacturing and sales, they are looking to extend this competitive advantage by engaging additional staff to continuously improve the quality of their product and the performance of their operations.
The position will work in close partnership with Team Leaders and manufacturing staff.
Key job tasks will include:
  • Working stringently to food safety handling requirements
  • Working on a production line with other staff
  • Tank allocation
  • Cleaning and sanitizing
  • Daily execution of production plan(s)
  • Set up and changeover of production lines
  • Maintain focus on safety 
  • Meet KPI's for labour efficiency and waste  
  • Work closely with all operational areas – ie team leaders, pasteurizing area, dry store and freezer store.
  • Trouble shoot basic machinery/equipment faults
  • Attend Meetings as required
  • Other tasks as required by the Operations Manager & Team Leaders
 
Key Attributes for this role:
  • Experience in GMP/food manufacturing environment highly regarded
  • Machinery troubleshooting - fault fixing capability
  • Manufacturing experience  
  • Ability to work independently without supervision 
  • Self-motivated, willing to take initiative
  • Good organisational and time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed to the required standards and time frames
  • Good communication and people skills with the ability to communicate at all levels throughout the business
  • Experience and or ability to interact with a diverse workforce
  • Energetic with a can do attitude
