About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker you will support our clients in providing community access activities, working in supported independent living, and in-home care. Your duties will include assistance with personal care, transport to accompany them to activities and events, assist with medications, and household tasks.
  
About You
A compassionate individual who genuinely cares about our clients by showing initiative in the support provided. You will have the ability to work a variety of shift times (including sleepover shifts) and have availability over a 7 day period. A clinical background would be highly desirable.
Skills required:
  • Effective and clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviours and use of behaviour support plans
  • Proven experience working with people with mental health
  • Experience in manual handling and support clients with restricted mobility
  • Proven ability to work with complex and standard care clients
  
Essential Criteria
  • Certificate III (minimum) in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent, and/or minimum 6 months experience in Disability, Aged Care, Nursing or other allied health fields
  • Current National Police Check
  • Current Working with Childrens Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Drivers licence and access to a reliable/registered and insured vehicle
