Our Mechanical Handling Services (MHS) division offers specialist capabilities in cranes and lifting operations, maintenance & inspections and hydraulic or fluid power engineering solutions. Our offshore cranes team is made up of support engineers, technicians and inspectors who provide our clients with excellence in servicing and maintenance. 

As a result of rapid growth and award of multiple new contracts we are currently seeking additional proactive and hands on Crane Technicians to join our operations. 

We have opportunities throughout Australia and therefore welcome applications from suitably experienced candidiates in any Australian geographical location.  

Key responsibilities
  • Carry out inspections, maintenance and servicing of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects of offshore cranes
  • Collate maintenance reports/worksheets/certificates providing recommendations requiring further attention or improvement
  • Fault-finding hydraulic/mechanical/electrical systems
  • Have the knowledge and/or experience to effectively assess the tools and materials required to carry out the work to be undertaken
  • Have the knowledge and/or experience to identify the standards and best work practices required to safely maintain offshore pedestal & overhead cranes
  • Align with and operate under both EnerMech and client safety systems, processes and procedures  
Qualifications, experience and skills
  • Dual trade qualified mechanical and electrical (preferred)
  • Electrical instrumentation certification (preferred)
  • HV certification (preferred)
  • MSIC
  • OPITO TBOSIET
  • Advanced Rigger high risk licence (preferred)
  • Experience maintaining knuckle, pedestal, and overhead cranes (mobile crane experience also considered)
  • Diesel engine experience
  • Experience with Hydraulics, Diesel Engines, Gearboxes & Rope Systems
  • Ability to read and execute work packs
  • Ability to problem solve  
This position will suit applicants who have flexibility with rosters and are able to work offshore as per operational requirements.
