This business is very well established in the South Auckland area, and have significant plans afoot for geographical dominance. This is a very exciting prospect for a General Manager to join the family and run the business in close conjunction with the owners.

The Role:

  • Reporting to the business owners, you will take full responsibility of the Tuakau/Pokeno operation right from overseeing sales and business development, financial and performance management - including purchasing and cost management, liaising with the builders, franchisees, suppliers & sub trades.
  • Improve efficiency and increase profits while managing the overall operations of the company.
  • Develop and direct the implementation of business strategies to enhance the operational ability
  • Mentor and coach the management team to deliver financial & trading performance through clear objective setting, performance management and regular feedback
  • Develop the company’s competitive advantage within the market through the creation and implementation of sustainable sales strategies & high standards of customer service 
  • Provide guidance for growth including section and property purchases and potential franchise opportunities
  • Guide the activity of the sales team, including identifying land opportunities and driving discussions with local developers
About You:
  • An understanding of the franchise business model is essential.
  • You are experienced in running an entire branch or business unit in a General Management capacity. You like to run things like the business is yours!
  • Exposure to a franchise business would be very appealing, but is not strictly necessary
  • You have a passion for sales and exceeding customers' expectations to maximise the profitability of the company.
  • You're commercially astute with excellent negotiation and relationship building skills
  • You have a hands on approach to management, with an open door policy - you are happy in an open environment
  • You are a proven culture builder - someone who motivates others and maximises productivity through inspirational leadership.
  • You will be looking for a long term prospect career change and be willing to stick out the hard yards and be in for the long haul.
