We are looking for a dynamic and proven National Sales Manager who is ready to take the next step and lead our highly motivated sales team to achieve set sales goals, targets and revenue.

About Us
Our client, a family-owned manufacturing organisation located in Preston is seeking an experienced National Sales Manager reporting to the MD. 
Their philosophy of always delivering outstanding customer service combined with superior product range and quality has seen sales grow and we are looking for a dedicated, ethical and responsible leader, to build upon this success and propel it to the next level in growth and profitability.

Duties will include:   
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Source new business opportunities balanced with developing and strengthening existing customer relationships
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
  • Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
  • Lead subordinates to expected performance levels in line with Company Values
Essential criteria:  
  • Previous working experience as a National Sales Manager for 3 years
  • In depth knowledge of managing a high-performance sales team
  • Hands on experience with CRM software 
  • Commercially astute, utilise and leverage opportunities that drive business growth
  • Applicable experience of sales performance metrics
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Customer oriented with strong negotiation skills
  • Analytical and data driven problem solver
  • Strong people management and leadership skills with the ability and desire to mentor, coach and engage your team
  • BSc in Sales, Business Administration or similar relevant field preferred
