Our client Australia's leading Facilities Management and Tenant Services software company is seeking a Business Development - Account Manager, who must be a self-starter.

In this role you will be responsible for identifying and securing new clients for the company's industry leading products, for client relationship management and retention of existing clients.

You will be working in an upmarket CBD office and be able to undertake the occasional short trips with potential overnight stays. Some training for the role will take place in Perth.

Key challenges within this role will include:
  • High retention of existing clients and successful on-boarding of new clients
  • Ensuring high level of client satisfaction
  • Regular communication with client base
  • Representation of the company at various conferences and industry events
  • Seeking new business and further expanding the product penetration of the property market
  • Identifying and developing new markets that suit the product set, and expanding into other industry sub-sectors
  • Conducting structured competitor analysis
  • Staying up to date with industry trends
  • Keeping an up to date CRM, showing all activities
  • Negotiating contracts, including quotations and proposals
  • Liaising with internal technical resources and associate companies 
We are looking for a person who has:
  • Sales training and / or a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Account management experience
  • Comfortable presenting to senior management
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives through the sales cycle
  • Ability to write and present proposals
  • Property Industry and market experience / knowledge preferable, or a keen interest in learning about the commercial property space
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure 
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets, preferably in software
  • Advanced computer skills, CRM, MS Office and media apps
  • Ability to work autonomously
