Experienced in all aspects of employment law, workplace safety and industrial relations, our Melbourne Employment Advisory team keeps ahead of changes in the legal and commercial world.

About you
You will ideally have at least 4 years PAE as an Employment Advisory Lawyer with in-depth experience across a broad range of employment matters, including advising on employment agreements, unfair dismissals, equal opportunity and complex workplace issues. You are technically skilled, extremely thorough and have a solid understanding of enterprise agreements. Experience from an employer perspective is essential. You will have strong drafting skills, highly developed interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to work as part of a close-knit team with like-minded individuals. You are excited about the prospect of continuing your corporate career alongside high-performing colleagues. You will demonstrate a drive to succeed in conjunction with a strong work ethic and the ability to perform in a high pressure environment.

Your role
You will enjoy working in a close-knit team, have easy access to Partners, as well as the ability to bounce ideas off your like-minded colleagues. Continuing your career as a respected Employment Advisory Associate or Senior Associate, you will be advising our clients on the full suite of employment matters including, but not limited to:
  • contractual and legislative rights and obligations
  • negotiation of workplace agreements
  • employment disputes and litigation
  • discrimination and termination claims
  • redundancy
  • industrial matters, including industrial dispute resolution
  • equal opportunity

  • industry awards
  • enterprise agreements
Working closely with partners who are leaders in their field, the successful candidate will have excellent exposure to interesting and varied work and clients.
