Workshop Supervisor - Pumps

A national pump & power contractor for the civil sector requires a trade qualified Mechanical Fitter to oversee others & provide hands-on work

A great opportunity has become available to join a national group of companies that specialize in equipment, pump and power contracting services for the civil sector. 
 
The Role:
Based in the eastern suburbs of Perth, this position will see you responsible for 3 other staff member plus an apprentice and performing installations, maintenance, repairs and upgrades to a variety of pump and hydraulic equipment based predominately in the workshop.

Other duties will include:
  • Scheduling service and repairs
  • Inspecting equipment to ensure it passes “pre-hire”
  • Allocating jobs to other Fitters and an apprentice
  • Manage the servicing program of all Perth-based mobile plant & equipment
  • Maintain and trouble shoot all types of pumps including centrifugal, rotary, vane, diaphragm, piston and submersible
  • Maintain documentation and reports
  • Liaising with external contractors
  • Ensure all plant and equipment are tested and tagged
About You:
To be successful for this position, you will be someone who has previous experience within the pumps sector before, be physically fit, reliable and genuine in your approach to work and the management team.
 
In addition to this you will need:
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical including D&A
  • Hold a current drivers license
  • Be a qualified mechanical trade
This is a permanent, full-time role with a negotiable base salary of $70,000 - $75,000 + super, plus overtime paid at penalty rates.
