The Assistant Company Secretary will have direct responsibility for a large number of entities (including companies, branches and representative offices) in the Asia Pacific region. You will report directly to the Group Company Secretary based in London.  This is a largely standalone position and the ability to work independently but part of a global team is vital. 

The following responsibilities are also key to this role:
  • Corporate Secretarial compliance for all ANZ group subsidiary companies including annual maintenance and ad hoc changes;
  • Maintaining and updating central corporate secretarial records for ANZ;
  • Manage relationships with external Asia Pacific overseas providers including monitoring fees/budgets and spend tracking;
  • Responsibility for maintaining central corporate secretarial records for all overseas Asia Pacific entities and ensuring that any corporate changes in the Asia Pacific regions are effectively communicated and records updated;
  • Arranging and attending Board meetings and supporting the nominated Company Secretary;
  • Assist with mergers, acquisitions and disposals, corporate re-organisations, joint ventures.
The ideal candidate:

Will have 2 - 5 years  Company Secretarial experience within a large complex team and/or a multinational and/or a financial services organisation. This role will have strong on-the-ground support to begin with until the successful candidate is up to speed and able to work more autonomously.
