The Role:
The role of the security subject matter expert will be to do policy analysis, user research and design activities for the whole-of-government Hosting Strategy. You will be responsible for applying your domain knowledge to align industry and government needs, requirements, operations and commercial motivations, in order to identify and control risk. Supply chain risk will be a core area to address.
As part of the Hosting and Secure Cloud strategy team you will apply the Service Design and Delivery Process to meet the Digital Service Standard, resulting in an up-to-date, accurate, assumption-free understanding of the Australian data centre landscape. This will inform advice/recommendations for decision making, strategy, briefing material and development of the Hosting Certification Framework. It will also help shape whole-of-government advice about the hosting, processing and securing of data managed by Australian Government agencies.

Essential criteria
  • Minimum two years experience in managing and delivering ICT and / or data centre security operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying security policies, in ideally with addressing supply chain risks.
  • Proven experience with APS security practices defined in the PSPF and ISM.
