Role Overview 

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Senior Clinical Psychologist is responsible for contributing to the clinical and professional leadership of the psychology discipline. You will maintain a clinical case load whilst acting as a consultant for other staff within the organisation, particularly with regard to providing professional interventions to clients with complex needs. The Senior Clinical Psychologist will supervise staff and provide leadership.  
Other key responsibilities of this role include:  
  • Working with staff to support knowledge development; 
  • Identifying professional development priorities to meet the needs of the discipline or area of practice; 
  • Delivering quality, expert advice relating to specific competency-based coaching and training for individual staff; 
  • Acting as a consultant to other client services staff, particularly with regard to providing professional intervention to clients with complex needs; 
  • Working with Managers and Senior staff to ensure practice standards are consistently met. 
Skills, Knowledge and Experience  

The successful candidate will be a registered psychologist under the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency and will possess strong experience operating as a psychologist. You will demonstrate a team-based approach to care and will enjoy contributing to developing others’ knowledge and skillsets across professional boundaries. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and will be able to manage a variety of stakeholders in an efficient manner. You will be able to manage clients with complex conditions and proactively identify those who would benefit from special interventions.
