Maintenance Planner - Carbon
 
 
Tomago Aluminium is currently seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Carbon Maintenance Team.
 
Reporting to the Carbon Maintenance Superintendent you will be responsible for leading and driving improved SAP utilisation, maintenance planning and scheduling processes to ensure a reliable, efficient and effective approach is achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining SAP PM Module integrity including master data
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance/optimise SAP PM Module and Work Management Processes
  • Develop opportunities to improve the maintenance planning and scheduling processes
  • Drive the planning and scheduling processes to enable the department to achieve a robust and accurate integrated maintenance schedule/plan in accordance with sites operating plans.
  • Lead Work Management KPI’s for the department and address gaps with key stakeholders
  • Ensure maintenance planners are managing and addressing their backlogs
  • Ensure maintenance planners are managing their SAP data integrity
  • Oversee statutory/safety work orders, to ensure that they are being completed by the department, in accordance with relevant regulations, site standards and time frames.
  • Provide maintenance planning support for the department, as required.
  • Monitor the maintenance PM tasks for emerging issues; liaise with the maintenance planners and assist where necessary to enhance end users knowledge, SAP data integrity and maintenance strategies.
  • Develop, maintain and report maintenance plans and schedules using dashboards/metrics, and ensure targets are being achieved. Including deadlines for notifications, orders, completion confirmations, and maintenance work.
  • Provide PM Module SAP coaching to the site Planners and other maintenance personnel as required.
  • Liaise with the department technical team to address any SAP or maintenance strategy gaps to ensure the system is up to date and strategies reflect the asset requirements
  • Develop & maintain the maintenance departmental budget
 

Skills, Experience & Attributes:
  • Demonstrated high level of SAP PM Module Knowledge.
  • Good understanding of other SAP Modules and impacts on SAP PM Module
  • Highly experienced in all areas Maintenance planning/scheduling.
  • Sound knowledge and comprehension of Maintenance Strategies, processes and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving experience and skills
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Achievement and action orientated team player.
  • Ability to impact and influence others constructively
  • Continuous improvement focused
  • Good understanding of fixed plant equipment.
  • Good working familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project, Power BI etc.
  • A Front-Line Management qualification, Maintenance Management qualification or Engineering qualification would be highly regarded
