Health & Safety Manager


A Top-tier Civil Engineering company operating throughout New Zealand require an experienced Health & Safety Manager.

The NZ Based company provides a range of Civil Engineering specialist project advisory and management construction services throughout New Zealand. They have secured a number of significant projects, and are subsequently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager. 

Main Duties
  • Oversee continuous improvement in culture and implement best practice management systems in the workplace
  • Monitor daily site tasks and make decisions on risks and controls
  • Executing the safety assurance program
  • Ensure that OHS induction and training is provided to all employees and subcontractors
  • Be aware of trends and carry out corrective actions as required
Essential Skills & Requirements
  • Strong collaborative approach with the senior leadership team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships internally as well as externally
  • Excellent skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning, communication and organising along with the ability to positively influence the improvement of Health and Safety outcomes
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment in challenging conditions
  • Degree, Diploma or similar and a current member of a relevant professional body

A package which is in line with the demanding nature of the project which includes: Base salary of between $200k + Package.
