Job Title: Community and Stakeholder Engagement Officer 
Location: Sydney - Southern Suburbs 
Pay Rate: $70-90k + package depending on experience
Engagement: Long-term contract with the opportunity to go Full Time Permanent

An opportunity has arisen within a successful Civil Engineering Company operating within the state of NSW. They are looking for a Community and Stakeholder Engagement Officers or Advisors based in the Southern suburbs of Sydney. 

The top-tier company provides a range of Civil Engineering construction services throughout Australia, with these positions being part of the live project support function. Over the last few years they have capitalized on the booming civil engineering & construction market and the group has seen some significant growth which has driven the need for the development of this position.

Main Duties 
As the Community and Stakeholder Engagement Officer/Advisor, you would be responsible for;
  • Being front line of communication for external third parties which interface with the project.
  • Developing and maintaining strong internal/external relationships.
  • Log issues & complaints, update stages of resolution through to close out on a specialist CRM.
  • Follow through to “close out” any issues or complaints which are bought forward from external parties and communicate that to all involved parties.
  • Interface with internal departments to facilitate the resolution of issues.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of plans and policies for the Community
  • Create regular reports and briefing papers for management.
  • Providing clear and open communication to facilitate openness and trust within the team & the external parties
  • Researching, critically analyzing and interpreting data
The successful candidate will bring to the role;
  • Previous background in a customer service/retail role, note it doesn’t necessarily need to be from the civil engineering sector.
  • Need to be a strong and clear communicator in both written (emails) and verbal formats.
  • Have a strong follow-through to resolve any issues.
  • Have strong administration skills and a reasonable level of IT aptitude.
  • Have good problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a busy environment.
  • Experience with using CRM’s/ dedicated IT platforms considered a bonus but not necessary.
A package which is in line with the demanding nature of the role which includes:
Base salary of between $70-90k + package dependent on experience.
