As part of the transition, the need for a dynamic and driven payroll professional has become available. 

Providing end-to-end support for payroll function, calculating and processing salaries, EBA and Award increases, leave entitlements, other adjustments and termination payments in accordance with statutory requirements, you will be be part of a team of two and manage all payroll related queries.

Duties will include:
  • Processing of the payroll and ensuring the payments are made in a timely manner. This includes the preparation of the fortnightly and weekly end to end payroll process. 
  • Ensuring salaries and wages are processing accurately and on time as per award and legislative requirements.
  • Preparing payroll reconciliations 
  • Supporting the finance team by preparing balance sheet reconciliations on payroll related accounts; providing payroll information to management for budgeting and year end reporting. 
  • Staying up to date with legislative and compliance requirements in relation to wages and awards.
A thorough understanding and sound knowledge of payroll systems practices,
procedures and statutory requirements are essential. Working knowledge and understanding of industrial relations, awards, agreements and understanding of superannuation legislation are required, in addition to high level of numeracy skills and good general knowledge of payroll processes.

Advanced level Excel and experience of Sage Micropay or a similar payroll package will be advantageous.
