This is an exciting new business venture for one of Australia's foremost training and employment services business. The business provides alternate learning approaches for disadvantaged and disengaged students to reconnect with education while getting a head start in employment. Fully Government funded the school delivers an individualized learning experience and interactive mentoring that incorporates positive experiences and the importance of community all whilst ensuring the future success of all of its students. Their vision is to have more young people completing school, more young people in meaningful employment and as a result, engaging more communities to positive change.

Reporting to a Board and working with other senior managers of the parent business the new Chief Executive Officer will lead, develop and promote the strategic and operational direction of the Schools. The role has overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of the Schools, including strategic and budget accountability and implementation of the Schools purpose, vision and values. In addition the role will ensure that excellence is achieved across all campuses in teaching and curriculum design, learning delivery and meets all educational compliance requirements. 

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced CEO to showcase their skills in a business that is eager to make a difference with young peoples lives. This is a high energy role requiring a strong business minded CEO who understands both the revenue drivers and the academic drivers of a successful school or business. The role will suit a person who is easily able to take on the role of key stakeholder and easily able to drive deep and reliable relationships with key influencers in industry and the overall community. A background and qualifications in teaching and educational leadership experience (ideally in a secondary school) would be advantageous but not mandatory and an understanding of vocational pathways, alternate learning programs and blended education models would be useful.
