Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with this fantastic aboriginal health service based in a beautiful coastal area of Victoria to help them find a Clinic Manager to join their team.

This role is perfect for you if you already have some clinic manager experience, have a nursing background and want to have a position with fantastic work/life balance.  

The position:
  • Salary of  $100,000.00 plus superannuation
  • Monday to Friday role, 38 hours per week
  • Relocation assistance can be considered
  • No on-call or after hours work
As the Clinic Manager you will look after a team of 7-8 staff as well as 3 GP's.  You will be looking after patients who are both indigenous and non-indigenous so experience with both would be a plus.

Your role will be to contribute to the success of the primary health services by providing clinic leadership. You will lead the development of existing services and improved health and well being outcomes for the clients and community.

You will be responsible for the day to day management and coordination of primary health care services. Although primarily the role is focused on the clinical administration of the clinic, the position will also from time to time require you to deliver patient facing services.

Some of the key areas of your role:  
  • Assist in the development and delivery of an integrated and culturally sensitive suit of relevant clinical and health promotion programs that meet the needs of community members
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of innovations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of clinical service delivery
  • Proactively develop and implement a range of health promotion activities
  • Supervise clinical staff, including reception staff to ensure appropriate restoring, client workflow management, compliance with agreed service levels and national health accreditation standards to ensure performance targets are met and exceeded
  • Provide quality leadership and management to team members, GP's and other clinical staff as required, including conducting regular ongoing support and supervision, and performance development and reviews
  • Develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships as required, including developing and managing formal partnership agreements
  • Ensure high quality data and reporting compliance
  • Provide administrator level support for client record and data management systems and software
  • Monitor and ensure the maintenance of clinic stocks and equipment
  • Manage budget and expenditure within delegation
  • Participate in the Clinical Governance Committee and other committees as directed

You will be working for a District Aboriginal Corporation which was established to improve the social, health and economic outcomes for Aboriginal people in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia.

The service is now a leading provider of primary health care and related social and family support services to Aboriginal people in the region.

Their primary health care clinics and social and emotional wellbeing programs specialise in culturally appropriate and comprehensive primary health services for Aboriginal people while also providing health services to the non-Aboriginal population.

The Location:
You will be living in a beautiful part of the Gippsland region of Victoria right on the stunning coast.

There is lots to do on your time off from fishing, swimming, beautiful beach walks, cafe's and restaurants etc to name a few.

This town is also located only a couple of hours drive to Melbourne making the big city within easy accessibility for airports, shows etc.

To be eligible for this position you must:
  • Be registered with AHPRA with no restrictions as a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Nurse Practitioner or Aboriginal Health Practitioner
  • Have management experience ideally within a similar clinic or practice setting
  • Some regional or remote experience would be ideal
  • Indigenous and non indigenous nursing experience is a plus
