The Venue:
The Royal Leichhardt is the inner West’s favourite neighbourhood pub. We are an anchor of the Leichhardt community and provide welcoming service, food, and drinks across two levels.  Downstairs, the main bar serves pub classics. Come the weekend it is a sports haven for local rugby teams. Upstairs, The Botanical features vibrant interiors and lush greenery on the walls. The cocktail bar and dining rooms spill out onto a grand, heritage-style wrap-around balcony that overlooks Norton Street and is perfect for a long bistro-style lunch with family and friends.
The Job:
We are currently on the hunt for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. We are looking for a hospitality manager who has a desire to help build a strong culture and deliver exceptional customer service. It is integral that you have the passion to provide our guests with the best experience. This is a full-time position that will be predominately working night shifts with the occasional day shift.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • The smooth running of the day to day operations including bar, gaming, TAB, functions, dining, and floor
  • Assisting in the training and development of staff
  • Ensuring all service standards and compliance are being met across the venue
  • Active involvement in team and management meetings on a weekly basis
  • Closing the venue and ensuring all security procedures are being adhered to
To be successful in this role, you must have the capacity to work independently as well as in a team environment. You will have exceptional time management, and organisational skills as well as being a strong communicator. You must possess strong leadership skills and be able to delegate where needed.
