We are seeking a Welder to join our prefabrication department. You must be willing to work hard with a can-do attitude, experience not required.

  • MIG/Tac welding - experience not essential

About the role

We are currently seeking a Welder to join the Pre-Fabrication team in a casual capacity at our Currumbin branch. We will provide the training if you are willing to learn, are reliable and can multitask. 


Key responsibilities
  • Pre-start checks on the cage making machine and crane
  • Interpreting and utilising drawings
  • Check that the product has been produced to the correct measurement
  • Reading and understanding the drawings and preparation of cages
  • Using the concept of pyramid loading on all loads
  • Ensuring the load and count out racks are always kept tidy
  • Ensure dunnage is kept even with each layer of steel
  • Ensure the correct PPE is worn
  • Produce required cages as efficiently and as safely as possible
  • Spend at least 15 minutes at the end of each shift for general housekeeping of the work area and machinery
About you
  • Willing to learn how to MIG/tac weld
  • Physically able to lift products and work standing up
  • Be a good communicator and a team player
  • Have a good sense of humour
  • Be proactive, organised and hardworking
  • Forklift license and Gantry crane experience a bonus but not necessary
