My client are a successful reputable business in the Construction Industry.
They are seeking an experienced  Sales Representative/Business Development Representative based in the Brisbane area. This is a great opportunity to join the business in a massive phase of growth in the construction industry.
Key duties & responsibilities:
  • Actively promote the sales of all products both directly with customers and in conjunction with the Sales Team and Branch Managers. 
  • Actively searches for business development opportunities at all times. 
  • Liaise with customers, customers engineers, outside contractors or any other person who is a stakeholder in a project, and ensure that the equipment to be supplied is fit for purpose. 
  • Keep abreast of industry knowledge within company market segment, and update relevant staff on competitor intelligence. 
  • Use lead generating tools  
  • Carry out calls to customers as directed by Branch Manager and National Sales  Manager. 
  • Produce quotations as requested by customers and provide thorough follow up and conversion. 
  • Ensure that call mix/types are to acceptable levels and not concentrated on specific types. 
  • Endeavour to achieve call targets, call numbers and benchmarks to acceptable levels on a regular basis. 
  • Together with National Sales Manager, create Major/Growth Account list and diligently work on developing strong business relationships with those clients to enhance further business opportunities. 
  • Carry out monthly calls to Major/Growth Accounts and ensure maximum revenues are generated. 
  • Always endeavour to improve product knowledge and learn technical specifications for all products 
  • Always insure that equipment which is being hired/sold is at a price within guidelines and produces maximum return.
  • Assist to organise and participate in Promotions, Exhibitions and Field Days.
  • Work with all other staff to secure business at all levels. 
Key skills & exp 
  • Ability to work with a variety of people, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Demonstrated Business Development experience
  • Ability to uncover new business, develop pipeline and proactively source new leads
  • Experience in actively promoting products in the Construction industry will be highly regarded
  • Hands on Sales reporting experience
  • Highly Developed client mgt skills
  • Tasks oriented and proven experience getting results and meeting sales targets
