Senior Project Manager required with experience of change management required for a statewide application deployment

AJQ Consulting is a leading provider in the delivery of Information Technology & Professional Services. These services are aimed at working with companies on fulfilling their organisational objectives through the use of effective IT & Business services.  
We are currently working with a State Government department who are currently going through a deployment of new applications to various NSW state location, therefore a need for a Senior Project Manager with experience of change management and strong stakeholder engagement is required.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the risk, quality and progress of medium to complex and/or large ICT/digital projects to organisational standards, and ensures projects are completed on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within agreed scope, and provides leadership and guidance to the Project Management team.
All project activities must align with the organisation’s strategic plan, ICT operational processes and sector and NSW Government policies
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 
  • Provide leadership and direction to project team/s to successfully deliver all key milestones and outcomes of the project and ensure continuous effective service delivery and a performance-based, innovative, responsive and accountable customer-focussed work culture.
  • Lead and manage the planning and delivery of ICT/digital projects, including all aspects of the project management lifecycle (business cases, project plans, identification and allocation of resources, budgets, communication and reporting) to ensure successful and quality project deliverables.
  • Develop strategies for the continuous monitoring, evaluation and improvement of all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures.
  • Manage and develop stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management, whilst fostering and sustaining strategic partnerships across teams, Directorates and the wider Health agencies.
  • Foster and sustain partnerships across teams.
  • Provide expert advice about the feasibility and suitability of proposed solutions to optimise business performance.
To be successful if securing this role you will:
  • Extensive experience and a record of achievement in managing large technical projects in a large and complex organisation, including relevant qualifications or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Project Management Qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK and Agile) or other recognised Project Management qualifications with extensive experience in project management and implementation, including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, reporting, issue and risk management and managing budgets.
  • A strong understanding of principals, methodologies and an element of delivery of Change Management.
  • Have exceptional, and demonstrable, stakeholder engagement skills, dealing with Executives and Senior Stakeholders, ideally (but not mandatory) within a Government organisation.
  • Have the ability to travel and stay overnight in rural NSW for meetings.
