Healius' Pathology Division, SDS Pathology, includes many high quality, comprehensive service laboratories with extensive regional networks, as well as niche diagnostic laboratories specialising in IVF, dermatopathology and genetics.

The Opportunity
The Senior Data Engineer has accountability for integration of all pathology data sources, creating report data models on Power BI and maintaining the data flow. The Senior Data Engineer will build and maintain technical artifacts along with data lineage and catalogue based on meta data.

As the Senior Data Engineer reporting directly to the Head of Business Intelligence (Pathology), you will:
  • Develop and implement new meta data based ETL on SSIS or other cloud ETL tools
  • Follow existing ETL framework and implement multiple source system based ETL solutions.
  • Built ETL report and maintain ETL meta data.
  • Create, publish, maintain and enhance Power BI models
  • Maintain and monitor the ETL pipe line along with managing our Premium capacity
  • Establish ETL standards and build code automation where possible.
About You
You will be able to demonstrate:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in building/enhancing data warehouse
  • Experience with any cloud based data warehouse. Snowflake preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Microsoft SSIS and SSRS
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience using Power BI and building Power BI data models.
  • Solid ETL code automations based on meta data.
  • Good understand and some experience build ETL using cloud based products like Taled, Azure Data Factory or others.
  • Solid experience building modern data warehouse.
  • Experience using Azure Data Lake is desirable.
  • Solid understanding of Kimball methodology
  • Data Vault modelling experience would be advantageous.
