We are looking for a Network Engineer - Level 3 to start immediately in a fast paced environment with us at Ethan Group.

As a Network Engineer, you will work within the highly skilled team to deliver exceptional 3rd line support to our customers.
  • This role will require a solid understanding of network fundamentals from both an infrastructure and systems administration perspective. Strong troubleshooting, organisational skills and excellent communication will be mandatory.
  • Plan and execute the in-depth technical activity, influencing the direction of activities/plans and providing technical insight and guidance to others
  • Investigate and help resolve issues on customer’s network and IT estates using agreed troubleshooting methodologies
  • Manage support cases to enable fast resolution that exceeds our customers’ expectations
  • Ensuring accurate recording of all cases using the Company’s ticket management tool and closing within agreed timeframes
  • Using the central document repository, to ensure knowledge sharing across the team and enable best practice
Experience and Skills Required
  • Advanced Networking including; LAN Infrastructure, including configuring switches, liaising with IT support for the installation of switches (Enterasys/Juniper)
  • Understanding on DHCP scopes (Windows Server 2016)
  • Understanding on DNS (Windows Server 2016)
  • Detailed understanding on Wi-Fi; including troubleshooting and performing site surveys
  • Manage and view Firewalls
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting for the LAN network infrastructure
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and technical support experience
  • Ability to be on call 24/7 on a rotational basis
  • Ability to maintain support documentation and administrative discipline essential
  • Proven experience in incident management, service request management and problem-solving
  • Experience of using ticketing systems and use of monitoring and management tools
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with both technical colleagues and vendors, as well as business stakeholders.
  • CCNA desirable but not essential
  • ITIL experience/exposure is desirable
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is desirable
  • Preferred experience in Juniper and FortiNet with Network Vendor Certifications from Cisco, Juniper etc.
  • Results-driven, Attention to detail and fast learner.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
