BestStart Educare

Are you looking for the next step in your leadership career? We are a fabulous centre with a wonderful close knit team on board - join our team today!

  • Great opportunity to make your mark and grow your career!
  • Lovely centre in a rural township
  • Ongoing career development opportunities
A strongly inclusive culture where children are valued and celebrated, an environment that strongly supports engagement and learning, well-established partnerships with parents and whanau...does this sound like the centre for you?

We are now looking for a passionate, driven, and experienced leader who can continue to drive excellence in education and care at BestStart Pleasant Point! Licensed for 65 children, we are a thriving, community-oriented centre situated in a lovely rural township where we treasure the outdoors and the farming lifestyle our tamariki bring to our learning environments.

Our new Centre Manager will draw on their existing leadership experience to lead and motivate a strong, capable, and passionate team. You will naturally role model excellent leadership qualities and inspire others to do same, while meeting administrative expectations, compliance requirements and striving to achieve financial performance targets. Relationships will be at the core of what you do as you ensure that that every parent feels as though their child is important and are part of our whanau. Likewise, you will have the ability to acknowledge the diverse skills within your team, empowering each teacher to reach their potential and feel valued.

Our new Centre Manager will also bring:
  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration
  • Strengths in curriculum, assessment and evaluation
  • Proven success working in a management or supervisory position
  • An ability to promote the centre to the local community
  • A passion for identifying areas for opportunity and continuous improvement
  • The ability to be "available" and resolve queries/concerns promptly
  • Flexibility and being open to new ideas/ways of doing things
  • The ability to listen to understand, and have wellbeing at the forefront
What's in it for you?

We provide you with a strong support network every step of the way, including the ongoing support from a dedicated Area Manager around business and staffing aspects as well as the compliance and curriculum aspects. Your hard work and commitment will be rewarded with a competitive salary package including free healthcare, subsidised childcare and fantastic career benefits including leadership training and ongoing PLD.
