We're looking for an experienced Head Teacher to join our fabulous infants and toddlers team. We are a dedicated and diverse team, join us today!

BestStart Baverstock Oaks is a beautiful Centre that operates in the heart of the Flatbush community. The team of teachers reflects the diversity of the children and families at our Centre.

We are licensed for 100 children and offer separate learning areas where children can learn in an environment pertaining to their developmental stage.

We have an amazing relationship with our parents/whanau and the community, and we're looking for a experienced Head Teacher to join our fabulous team and lead our infants & toddler's teams.

Our Head Teacher role is open to experienced ECE Teachers who are wanting to take the next step up in their career, or those who are looking for a new exciting challenge. A prerequisite to the role is being ECE qualification and fully registered.

The ideal Head Teacher for this role will demonstrate the following skills and abilities in their management and teaching practice:
  • Sound track record in customer service; building strong relationships with staff, clients and relevant stakeholders
  • Experience in leading a team in programme planning, observation and assessment, and self-review
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confident communicator • Proven organisational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, innovative, reflective and prepared to think beyond the boundaries
  • Strong overall leadership ability and proven experience in leading teams to achieve set outcomes
  • Must have good English skills; written, spoken and reading.
In this busy and fulfilling position you will hold a key role in building and maintaining relationships with our parents. The role will require the candidate to provide high level support to the Centre Manager and the team.
