In the heart of town on High Street is a fabulous older villa which we believe is a second home to Infants and Pre-Schoolers starting their education journey. We provide fantastic support to our families and whanau and seek to provide positive pathways to ensure beneficial outcomes for our children.

While we navigate through the current pandemic, we have seen the team at BestStart unite and support one another more than ever. We are so proud of the incredible online learning our Teachers have carried out with BestStart@Home and believe the extensive support network we provide our Teaching teams with has enabled us to provide positive engagement opportunities with our families and whanau.

We are looking for a team member that can inspire, with their bubbly personality, commitment and desire to provide quality education and care for our over two's classroom. A natural Teacher, you will be looking for that opportunity to step up and be part of a great team. Holding a Level 7 ECE qualification with current certification is essential along with experience in planning, assessment and leading a quality programme.

Our new team member will have the following attributes:

  • Knowledge about assessment and planning, Te Whariki – good writing skills
  • The ability to build and maintain caring, professional relationships
  • Enjoys contributing to program planning and learning experiences for children
