BestStart Oraha Road is a new centre in the beautiful semi-rural community of Kumeu.  Our friendly and experienced teaching team are thriving in the gorgeous, natural spaces we have created. 

This is a full-time (40hrs), permanent role supporting our growing team and ensuring a high quality teaching curriculum for our amazing tamariki.

Our new Assistant Manager/Head Teacher will be enthusiastic, respectful, and creative. Familiarity with RIE philosophy and understanding of Te Whariki is essential.  

It is desirable that you have a thorough understanding of the RIE/Pikler approach and that this is embedded in your practice and evident in all decisions that you make for our tamariki.

Our new Head Teacher will have the following attributes:
  • Level 7 ECE qualified and fully certificated
  • Previous experience as a Head Teacher and leading teams
  • Strong knowledge of planning and assessment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A natural knack for building relationships
