In this fixed term opportunity, you might be looking to either further your skills in project cost control or a looking for an opportunity to gain exposure following recent studies in accounting or a similar field. The idea of being involved in the Upstream industry and being able to utilise your maths and analytical skills is something that excites you. You will have experience using various types of technology and software/databases and you can pick up new technology with ease. You like the idea of working in a dynamic team where you can shoulder your own responsibilities and learn from the mentorship of experienced team members. You’ll be able to take ownership of your work and regularly use your high level of initiative.

Our Location
Our group of talented staff are located in the New Plymouth CBD, or you might find them in the short drive out of the city at our producing assets.

The Role
To be successful in this fixed term position you will have:
  • Tertiary qualification in a business/commerce or related discipline is preferable.
  • Relevant cost control/accounting experience is desirable.
  • Experience in managing costs, budgets and schedules for activities associated with upstream field development activities and engineering projects.
  • High level of numeracy, analytical and good problem solving skills
  • Information technology proficiency, with proven computing capability in relational databases and Microsoft Office software, in particular MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • High level communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to interface well with a wide variety of people
  • High level of initiative and a high level of attention to detail
  • A focus of collaboration, team work and high performance.
  • Ability to commence employment in this role in March 2021.
