I am currently recruiting a Senior Manager - Financial Crime Compliance for a well known, incredibly stable Financial Institution in Auckland.

With an independent, self-starter work style as a professional in this field your role will be working for one of the largest banks in New Zealand. You will lead the team in analysing identified suspicious activity patterns, industry risks and any complex issues associated with compliance, money laundering, financial crime and terrorism financing across the line 2 function. You will be responsible for creating frameworks, policies and the effective management of the company's financial crime risk appetite.

Previous management experience is ideal. They are looking for someone who is influential, knowledgeable, and has good relationships with regulators, you will need to build solid connections with colleagues and peers so having confidence in your previous experiences and knowledge is key. You will work with key stakeholders to support the business and ensure the effectiveness of controls.
 
You:
  • Proven experience in a similar financial services line 2 environment or the drive to step up and take a challenge
  • Strong knowledge of financial crime and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability leading a team and ensuring each individual succeeds and has a strong method of career development. 
  • Highly developed critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Driven, smart, hard working and the ability to gel with all walks of life
