Intermediate Civil Engineer - Wellington 
Our client, an Environmental and Engineering Consultancy, is highly renowned in the industry for their technical excellence, exciting project involvement and energetic people who want to build a diverse and enduring career in a progressive company. They are looking for a Civil Engineer to join their Wellington team. 
In this role, you will enjoy working on a wide range of exciting projects across all aspects of civil design and will be responsible for the delivery of projects in respect to quality, programme and budgets. This will include interfacing and co-ordinating outcomes from related disciplines such as geology, hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering and contaminated land together with assisting client relationship building. A few projects sit across several sectors, including all aspects of landfill design and operation, earthworks engineering, contract management, 3-waters infrastructure design, sustainable urban stormwater design, coastal infrastructure, roads and rail.   
A few of your duties include: 
  • Prepare concept designs, design drawings and design reports
  • Prepare technical specification and construction quality assurance plans
  • Site investigations
  • Conduct field work and field management during construction supervision
  • Contract administration 
  • Assistance with preparing tenders and proposals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third parties 
What you will bring to the table: 
  • Bachelor or Masters in Engineering (Civil/ Environmental/Geotechnical)
  • 5+ years' design consultancy experience
  • CPEng or working towards 
  • Previous experience in engineering design and construction work, such as landfill design, earthworks construction, major land development, mines/quarries, or similar
  • An appreciation for geotechnical, structural, or mechanical disciplines would be advantageous.
