I am looking for a strong and experienced generalist with specific knowledge of the NZ legislative environment and experience in a unionised environment.  The business partner role is a busy and varied position encompassing the usual aspects of such a role including ER, change, recruitment selection, performance, and learning & development as well as the more spontaneous and immediate demands such as managing risk, supporting managers, coordinating events and troubleshooting. In addition, there are also opportunities to get involved in projects.

The successful applicant will be autonomous, pro-active and action-oriented, able to relate positively and professionally with a diverse range of people, build instant credibility with staff at all levels and be able to take full responsibility for a busy and dynamic portfolio.

You will have experience in a manufacturing environment and strong people skills with the ability to be strategic and business-focused while responding to the business needs in a positive, fast-paced and solution-focused manner.  Resilience and adaptability are required but not at the cost of a sense of humour, EQ and a positive and people-focused nature.  Learning agility, the drive to develop professionally, add-value and bring fresh thinking and new ideas to what is already a forward-thinking culture, will ensure your success.

You will be joining an experienced and established HR team in a positive work environment that encourages high-performance, collaboration, coaching and work/life balance as well as offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to use your skills to add real value from a people and capability perspective. Open and honest communication, professionalism and commitment are all valued within the environment.

If you are a strong HR generalist, able to deliver to the above brief, I would be happy to speak with you to confidentially to provide further information.  Initial enquiries can be made by contacting Rob Bishop on 021 995 495 or click the ‘Apply’ button to express your interest in finding out more.  Please note that active application processing will start the week of 18 January and that this role closes on the 22 January to ensure a late February start date.
