We are currently tendering for works in the Central QLD Coast area and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced professional Civil Project Managers for a range of roles in the road construction / maintenance industry interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignments.

As well as General Civil Project Managers with Road Infrastructure experience, specialised roles include experience as or with:
Principals Representatives - Administrators Representatives
Structural Design - Structural Rehabilitation - Pavement Rehabilitation

General Responsibilities:
  • Planning and Defining Scope, Activity Planning and Sequencing
  • Resource Planning, Developing Schedules
  • Time Estimating, Cost Estimating & Developing Budgets
  • Documentation, Creating Charts and Schedules
  • Risk Analysis, Managing Risks and Issues
  • Controlling Quality, Monitoring and Reporting Progress
  • Team Leadership & Strategic Influencing
  • Working with Vendors & Community Consultation
  
Experience – Mandatory
  1. Minimum 7 years’ civil construction experience relating to road and transport infrastructure;
  2. Demonstrated experience in some aspects of road and transport infrastructure planning, design and construction. The experience extends to having sound fundamental understanding of earthworks, drainage, pavement rehabilitation, timber and concrete bridge rehabilitation, culvert structure remediation, electrical, ITS, landscape and urban design, pavements (asphalt, bound and unbound), bituminous surfacing, road furniture, and retaining walls;
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead a team to execute an element of the project life cycle – completed planning studies, completed detailed designs, completed construction contracts;
  4. Demonstrated sound consultation, conflict avoidance, group facilitation skills; and managing and supervising projects to TMR or other authority body policies, standards and specifications in Australia.
Demonstrated Experience – Desirable
  • Road transport infrastructure contracts – construct only
  • Minor works contracts
  • Manage scoping, preliminary design & detail design phases of projects
  • Inspection and reporting of the conditions of infrastructure
Academic/Professional Qualifications – Mandatory
  • Associate Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering
Academic/Professional Qualifications – Desirable
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent Civil Engineering qualification, which is accepted by the IEA.
  • A diploma in Project Management.
  • RPEQ certified.
The proposed hours are 38 per week, however longer hours & weekend work may be required to suit work load.  The roles are Mackay based, however some work away in regional or remote locations may be required depending on requirements.
 
You must have the right to work in Australia, with well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills and a current drivers licence.
