An opportunity has now become available for a high performing, high potential recent graduate to join their manufacturing team as a Graduate Engineer. The role comes with real responsibilities from day one, training and development and a pathway to accelerate your career in a global company.    

As a key member of the Manufacturing team, you will be exposed to all aspects of the site's high speed food operations. This will include lead responsibility for smaller engineering projects but under the guidance and supervision of experienced managers. And you will use your influencing skills, negotiating with external suppliers to escalate and resolve critical supply issues. It’s a role that requires you to be “across your piece of the business” keeping things moving and staying on plan.

Your success in this role will springboard you deeper into manufacturing. From there, the only limitation to your career growth will be your own ambition and performance.

While the company’s Australian head office is located in Sydney, your role is located at their world-class manufacturing site in regional NSW, in the Orange / Bathurst area. Note, the company will provide you relocation support if required.

What are your typical responsibilities?

  • Continuous improvement projects.
  • Lead smaller site engineering projects.
  • Actively work with supply chain, manufacturing staff and suppliers to improve product availability through process capability.
  • Identify, measure, report, and resolve recurring issues, using a structured problem solving approach when required.
  • Communicate key issues both internally and externally; and escalate relevant issues to other departments when necessary.
What does your background look like?

  • Above all - ambition, career-minded and high levels of initiative
  • A degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Up to twelve months post-graduate work experience
  • Interpersonal skills to work in a team and influence people outside of your direct control
  • Examples of extra-curricular activities to demonstrate your initiative and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills and professional presentation
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Ready to relocate (if required) to the Orange / Bathurst area.
