With a key eye for detail and an impressive list of projects under their belt, this private Building Surveying consultancy is offering an entry level position to join their team. Working across the Property and Construction industry they offer a range of services for private clients and the public sector. With an in-depth knowledge of Building legislation and their innovative approach they are renowned for exceptional service.
This position will work closely with management and Senior team members; it offers on the job training and career development and will give exposure to a wide range of projects. The scope of the position will involve:
  • Assist in the preparation of approval applications to relevant authorities
  • Assist in the preparation of certified building permit applications
  • Prepare energy efficiency reports
  • Processing applications from initial meeting through to certification/completion.
  • Provide preliminary BCA assessments and collate documentation
  • Liaise with councils and Permit authorities
  • Manage project files
  • Carrying out building compliance and BAL inspections on site.
To be considered you will ideally possess:
  • Relevant Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree qualification in Building Surveying or be in the process of acquiring a qualification.
  • Some previous practical experience in Building Surveying is desirable but not essential, ideally 1-2 years.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Building Code of Australia (NCC) and associated standards
  • High level of Computer literacy and excellent report writing skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Current Class C drivers licence.
