Our client is a diverse property company that focuses on helping clients achieve their property investment goals. This is delivered through their varied business units offering syndicated investments opportunities in Developments, Assets or are able to act as client-side PM helping investors maximise returns on existing properties in their portfolio.  
Thanks to ongoing growth and a number of acquisitions and iconic DA’s in the system, the development division has increased its workload and needs another Development Manager to join the ranks. You will be allocated multiple projects that are residential/mixed use built form projects in key growth locations in Perth.
These could include a high-end downsizer aimed apartment project, or mid-range investor/owner occupier targeted stock close to amenity and infrastructure. They aim for excellence on every project and engage leading architects and consultant teams to get the best outcomes possible.
You will be an experienced Development Manager who has a strong foundation in property development and/or construction and have a good experience in the delivery of mid-sized residential apartment with exposure to all aspects from acquisition to completion and defects.  
You will have a tertiary qualification related to Property, Construction and Economics or similar. You will need to have strong financial acumen and ideally exposure to DCF modelling using an excel based model or software such as Estate Master/Feastudy.
An established network within the relevant consultants and local authority representatives would be beneficial, as is understanding of how to navigate their processes and requirements.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to manage people/processes and finances. Report writing and research skills are required, as are a strategic mindset and ability to foresee and mitigate risk. Experience in previous client facing roles will be beneficial.
You will be confident without being cocky, motivated and focused on self-growth and knowledge banking in the property sector. Someone who wants to be a successful DM and will enjoy an autonomous but accountable role and environment. Future growth to a leadership position is available to the right candidate.
