The Multiple Sclerosis Society of South Australia and Northern Territory Incorporated (MS SA & NT) is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 1964 with the aim to provide care, support and services to people living with Multiple Sclerosis.
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is responsible for the administrative, operational, corporate and financial operations of the business and will ensure the Society maintains compliant with its various statutory and legislative obligations, audit, producing annual financial statements and meeting policy and regulatory requirements, both financial and operational.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operations Officer will lead and provide direction to the Finance and Corporate Services Teams. The role is responsible for providing a high-level financial and operational advice to the CEO and will manage reporting to the Board Finance Committee as well as provide strategic recommendations to the CEO, Finance Committee, Board and Executives on operational and business matters.
The successful candidate will possess senior management experience in financial, operational and quality compliance management with demonstrated ability in board reporting and the preparation of robust business case recommendations. Proven experience in leading teams, projects, continuous process improvement activities and achieving deliverables within deadlines. Knowledge of the NDIS would be an advantage. The successful candidate will have excellent written, communication and negotiation skills as well as commercial acumen, problem solving, and analytical abilities. Degree qualifications in accounting or finance, and CPA or CA qualifications are a must.
