About the Role
Reporting to the COO, this is a strategic role, providing leadership and expertise to improve quality and compliance outcomes:
  • Strategy: develop the Quality and Compliance strategic plan and contribute to the development of the Company’s total business activities.
  • Leadership: Team of 40 – 50 including Department Managers and Supervisors: select, develop, mentor and motivate team.
  • Standards and Accreditations: ensure Quality and Compliance standards, systems and processes meet all internal and external requirements.
  • Customer and Supplier Relationships: manage the development of positive relationships between the Company and its customers, suppliers and accreditation bodies.
  • Financial Management: ensure the financial targets of the Quality team are met.
You will be the Quality Champion – a leader who has the experience, expertise and mana to inspire others along the journey of change, inspiring a positive and healthy corporate culture, and promoting team spirit and corporate vision.
Skills and Experience
We can best describe our ideal candidate using terms such as “professional credibility”, “strategic and analytical thinker”, “sound judgement” and “credible leader and influencer”. To be more specific, we seek:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food Technology, Science, Dairy Manufacturing or Management, supplemented by specific training in quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated functional excellence in quality management, including advanced knowledge of ISO/FSSC and RMP quality standards and food regulations.
  • A minimum of 10 – 15 years’ experience in quality management within a high care food manufacturing environment, ideally dairy. You have worked within major corporate environments operating on the global stage where you have had exposure to / led best practice procedures and practice.
  • Experience leading large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in project management, business case development and major negotiations is desired.
  • Good communicators with a collaborative working style and the ability to develop strong business relationships.
