The Opportunity:
This rare opportunity has now become available within New Zealand’s largest manufacturer in the plastics industry and part of a wider global group. Reporting through to the Country Manager/MD and functionally to the GM of Operations (APAC), this new position will be responsible for identifying, planning, driving and supporting key improvement projects across Operations namely Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality.
The role:
We are seeking interest from candidates with strong experience in managing large multiple projects in a large-scale manufacturing environment ideally in a matrix structure. A solid skill set in implementation of LEAN and/or Six Sigma methodology along with a broad knowledge of business and functional domains. Key responsibilities of this position are as follows:  
  • Identify, plan and implement key projects resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction
  • Create, analyse and maintain key metrics dashboards – planning, tracking and risk mitigation
  • Actively lead projects, achieve buy-in from stakeholders and decision makers
  • Lead and coach project teams
  • Preparation of monthly project scorecard reports
  • Fully comply with H & S requirements
The person required:
To be considered for this position, you will have a relevant Degree, preferably engineering/manufacturing, supply chain orientation and demonstrated experience and significant achievements in a similar position. With no direct reports into this role, your instinctive leadership and communication style will be collaborative, influencing and resilient. You will have exceptional stakeholder management and the ability to build trust in a local, regional and global operations community.
