Overview
  
Due to a strong forward workload this multi-disciplinary Civil contracting company is seeking a Project Engineer to join their Auckland based team. The principal purpose of this role is to ensure projects carried out by the Company meet all project requirements. This includes design, drafting and construction management and client relationship management to ensure the company's strategic goals are met.

Key Attributes and Experience
  
We are seeking a candidate with the following skills and experience:
  
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a design or construction engineer
  • Understanding and experience of project engineering requirements
  • Understanding of requirements of SSSPs and EMPs
  • Proven experience with managing project finances and a solid understanding of purchasing processes
  • Ability to handle pressure and adapt to change easily, be positive and proactive in solving problems
  • Be committed to being a team player, showing initiative and actively taking on responsibility, demonstrating reliability, self-management and consistency
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills with a good command of English.
  • A tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering is essential (includes NZCE or Diploma in Engineering)
  • Has New Zealand Residency or a valid Work Visa at the time of application.
