The Opportunity
A rare opportunity to develop your career within New Zealand’s largest manufacturer in the plastics industry and part of a wider global group. Reporting through to the National S&OP Manager, this position is the key representative for the buying function of the business and is responsible for the purchasing of raw materials crucial to the manufacturing process.
The role requirements
We are seeking interest from candidates with 5+ years in a similar role within a manufacturing company. You will be responsible for the purchasing of raw materials from diverse locations with varying lead times, formulations and shortage issues.
To be successful in this role you will be required to have the following skill set: 
  • Relevant supply chain qualification or experience
  • A solid understanding of S&OP
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills
  • Strong decision-making, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Experience of ERP systems and strong excel and analytical skills
The person required
This position will see you engage with senior management on a daily basis along with being the departments representative at monthly reporting and S&OP meetings. You will therefore have a high level of intellectual capability, commercial awareness and confidence to hold your own in these meetings.
